We used the San Diego Quick Reading Diagnostic to assess the reading level of students who did not know their reading level already in order to find a book on the level that will help them best to grow as readers.

Where did the money go? 
With our $2000 budget, over $1200 went to purchasing over 200 new books that we read and researched. $500 covered a discounted rate for our LA Times Festival of Books booth, and just under $200 were used to purchase small bookshelves and the materials to decorate them. Lastly, we used part of our budget to create two types of homemade book marks (over 200 in total).
